Description:About the roleThe primary function of the Senior Accountant is to perform general accounting/bookkeeping activities, including preparing and supporting the monthly and year-end closing process for Gartner Subsidiaries in Iberia and LATAM. The Senior Accountant will also prepare and support Statutory Financials and assist Audit process, as well as assist the Finance Manager in developing and managing compliance and controls within local and global corporate requirements.What you'll doPrepare monthly / quarterly/year-end closingPerform accounting activities and ensure accuracy and complianceManage GL accounting, execute and record transactions, and maintain necessary supporting documentationPrepare monthly account reconciliations to the general ledgerPrepare and control Intercompany TransactionsPrepare and File VAT declarations and other statutory reportsPrepare Annual Financial Statements for review by auditorsAssist Tax Team by preparing Annual Tax information for reviewAssist with the preparation of the Statutory Financials audit processAssist with any other Audit as requiredAssist with establishing internal controls and monitoring compliance with Global PoliciesExecute and support special projects and other responsibilities as assignedWhat you'll need3-5 years of experience within an accounting function of a global multinational organizationStrong understanding of Local Accounting Standards (e.g. Spanish GAAP), good understanding of US GAAP, and knowledge of Local VAT and Indirect Tax RulesGood working knowledge of intermediate to Advanced ExcelGood hands-on reporting-systems knowledge.
