Job Description Summary Responsible for developing a detailed global forecast of installation and service tooling demand and an actionable plan for tool procurement and inter-regional movement in order to meet that demand and minimize the chance of backorder. Includes activities such as customer management, process mapping, process improvement, and line-of-business development. Solely accountable for this work (no direct reports). Impacts approaches, projects, and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Global Tooling Team. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for tool procurement and inter-regional movement planning and inventory globally. Monitor the results of changes to the inventory plan/forecast and recommend modifications. Plan for prevention of unused inventory and backorders. Work with a global team in multiple disciplines (Tooling Leaders, Project Execution management, MCU leadership, Transactional Commercial) in resolving issues, communicating tool availability, and advising on tool demand planning. Work with customers externally and internally to identify new opportunities to improve our current processes. Develop specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serve as best practice/quality resource. Have awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contribute towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility. Have in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others. Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Take new perspective on existing solutions. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus. Develop persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)). Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in long term planning, forecasting and/or operations planning management. Desired Characteristics: Strong oral and written communication skills. Compensation and Benefits: The base pay range for this position is $104,200 - $173,600 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 15%.
