WHAT YOU'LL DO
Join the Global tax team with responsibility for BCG tax controversy and tax risk management. You will report to the Global Head of Tax. In managing BCG's global tax controversy, you will work alongside the Regional Tax Senior Directors and Functional Senior Tax Directors including the Transfer Pricing Senior Director to resolve in line with BCG's overall tax strategy.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Develop and evolve BCG's overall tax controversy and tax risk management strategy.
Work alongside regional and functional Tax to negotiate the resolution of tax disputes, including audits, appeals, and litigation consistent with BCG's overall tax strategy.
Work closely with Senior Tax Director responsible for Transfer pricing to manage TP controversy including when to commence competent authority procedures and advance pricing agreements.
Lead all competent authority discussions, working closely with internal teams and external advisors.
Supervise and collaborate with tax advisors to balance the interest of BCG with the welfare of its shareholders.
Proactively identify, recommend, and implement cooperation programs with the Tax Authorities.
Ensure BCG meets its global tax governance requirements.
Analyse and interpret tax laws and regulations to support case strategy and compliance.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation supporting the company's positions on various tax matters.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on ongoing cases.

Experience and Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately 20+ years of work experience in a Big Four, in-house or tax authorities dealing with tax controversy.
Substantial technical experience in resolving tax controversy, specifically with significant experience of HMRC and IRS audit procedures.
A deep experience of Transfer Pricing controversy and involvement in reaching competent authority agreements – APA and MAP.
Experience with tax controversy in all areas of tax – employee, mobility, indirect and direct.
The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into our finance teams.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills across a global firm with large geographic spread.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
