Description Guardian is looking to build our international Operations Transformation team through the hiring of a Global Project Director (M/F/d) Operations Transformation. In this position, you will be responsible for the transformation and optimization of one of our assets in our glass production on a global scale. We are looking for a Global Project Director (M/F/d) Operations Transformation to be based at any of our eight sites in Europe: Bascharage or Dudelange, Luxembourg; Llodio or Tudela, Spain; Oroshaza, Hungary; Thalheim, Germany; Czestochowa, Poland; Goole, UK.
What you will do in your roleResponsible for the transformation and optimization planning of one of our Guardian assets on a global scale through new technology, advanced process tools, automation, and data analytics.Create the vision of technology and data analytics as well as own the vision for the future state of our coater assets, aligning technology roadmap in order to transform our operating model.Lead a small team which you will motivate, develop, and maximize their individual contributions.Collaborate with business functions and other capabilities (Engineering Excellence, Operations Excellence, Regional Plant Operations teams, Science & Technology) in the identification/value proposition, capital approval, and execution of scalable transformation initiatives for our coater assets.Effectively communicate vision and direction to team members.Analyze internal resources and external needs to align the technology development with the business needs.Utilize data to analyze trends in our business and the market that will lead to profitable initiatives.Identify new opportunities for consideration based on proven practices while driving decision making within our business.What You Will NeedMinimum of 3 years experience in leadership roles in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory responsibilities such as Operations or Production Manager.Effective communication skills, economic thinking, and a mindset for transformation.Project Management experience.Experience analyzing and interpreting data.Willing and able to travel to sites 10% - 20% of the time.What will put you aheadExperience with new ERP/ MES implementation.Experience with operational control tools (Advance Process Control and others).Experience with data analytics in the production environment.
