The Opportunity
The fast increase renewables power generation, the electrification of the transport, industry and building sectors create a strong demand of electrical equipment globally. In order to better support our customers, innovative and reliable transformer technologies and solutions are required ensuring the operational requirements. Working within Hitachi Energy's Transformers Business Unit in this role, you will drive the short- and mid-term profitable growth strategy for the distribution transformer portfolio.
You will be accountable of managing the transformer business development according to market needs and Product Group strategy and targets.
You will be part of the Liquid-filled distribution, Dry and Traction transformer Product Marketing Team of the Global Product Group, global technology and market leader.
How you'll make an impact
You design, develop and drive the distribution transformer business development strategies for the entire distribution transformer portfolio
Implementations and drive focused boost programs
You develop and coordinate cross-regional sales activities e.g. applying dynamic allocation
You support the strategy cooperating with Global Product Marketing Managers, Business Unit Industry Networks Leader and Global Product Managers
You proactively engage with customers to support technically, understand their pain point and develop solutions accordingly
You gather and address portfolio and value gaps to Global Product Marketing and Global Product Management
You develop and support strategic pricing initiatives, drive sales tools and value-based-selling
You drive market intelligence for the portfolio. Evaluate market size, demand for new business models, future trends, new requirements, challenges and opportunities for development
You support and drive market communication strategy, planning and implementation
You report to the Global Product Marketing
Your background
A Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of experience in transformer business
Proven experience in collaboration with customers, in product sales or business development
Proven experience in Distribution segment, preferable transformers or system integration
Strategic thinking, able to analyze and manage complex business situations
Excellent communication skills fluent in English, preferable fluent in Spanish
Proven Intercultural competence and readiness to travel
Can-do attitude, self-driven, autonomous, resilient, enthusiastic
