.Noatum is a leading multinational group specialising in transport, comprehensive logistics and port operations services.Its work is divided into three main business areas: Noatum Maritime, focusing on providing maritime services; Noatum Logistics, a comprehensive logistics operator; and Noatum Terminals, our port operations division.Our cross-sectoral approach to our services in these three areas means we can offer comprehensive solutions, with a high degree of specialisation and innovation.We are currently looking for a Global Procurement Manager for our Maritime business area with wide experience in logistics or shipping services.This role will be key for ensuring that all purchases are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and involves negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of services essential for ship agency operations.This job position will ideally be based in Barcelona but applications from other locations and countries could be considered if the requirements are met.Noatum Maritime offers services in the areas of ship attendance, commercial representation, shipping agency, ship handling and ancillary services for shipping lines, cruise lines and vessel operators.Key Responsibilities: Strategic Procurement Planning: -Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with Noatum Maritime's goals.-Analyze market trends to anticipate changes in supply and demand, and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.Supplier Management: -Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, service, and reliability.-Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new supplier partnerships.-Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and take corrective actions when necessary.Contract Negotiation and Management: -Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value for the agency.-Oversee the drafting and management of procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Procurement Operations: -Desing, implement and monitor end-to-end procurement process, including requisitioning, purchasing, and payment.-Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.-Implement and maintain procurement systems and tools to enhance efficiency and transparency.Cost Management: -Monitor and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.-Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.Quality Assurance: -Ensure that all procured goods and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.-Address any issues related to product quality or supplier performance promptly and effectively.Risk Management: -Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions and market volatility
