We provide both day-to-day in-field occupational and process safety support to operations, as well as a centralized technical support and consulting function.The primary role as a Safety Engineer (Loss Prevention Engineer) is to provide daily support to upstream organizations to manage safety in petroleum engineering, exploration, drilling, and workover related activities, including unconventional resources and seismic operations.Responsibilities:Facilitating the implementation of the Safety Management System and developing associated safety processes.Inspecting onshore and offshore drilling rigs, workover equipment, and other support facilities.Identifying, evaluating, recommending actions, and following up on critical safety tasks related to operational safety practices.Participating in safety studies and activities using risk assessment and mitigation methodologies.Developing and/or reviewing corporate safety standards, instructions, and procedures related to upstream operations.Assisting in the development of Emergency Response Plans and attending emergency drills.Responding to emergency situations and incidents, providing technical assistance and advice.Supporting the reporting, classification, and investigation of all incidents.Delivering Loss Prevention-specific training to employees, contractors, and outside parties.Mentoring other Loss Prevention personnel.Requirements:A bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited institution. 7 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas upstream industry, with a strong track record of delivering results. Experience in various areas including drilling and workover operations, well planning and approval, reservoir management, geology and geophysics, project management for upstream facilities development, and offshore and onshore drilling rig safety inspections. Excellent communication skills in English, capable of effectively communicating with peers and management
