.Location: Barcelona, SpainJob reference: R-211361Date posted: 10/22/2024This is what you will do:The Global Medical Training (GMT) Director is responsible for delivering comprehensive and impactful training to Alexion's Medical Team worldwide and will report to the Head of Global Medical Training and Field Capabilities. They will collaborate with cross functional stakeholders at a Global and Local level to identify training needs and set the learning and development strategy.They will develop engaging training programs for a diverse global medical audience adopting 'learning in the flow of work' and will evaluate success via a metrics-based approach. Well-designed trainings will equip our external facing teams to deliver an impactful medical narrative to the medical community to achieve the bold ambition.The Director will lead the TA group, liaise with subject matter experts, manage vendors and collaborate with Global and Local Therapeutic Leaders to produce engaging differentiated learning and development content and activities supporting the overall medical strategy and vision. The Director will also collaborate with Global Medical Leadership as well as other Training Leads to identify and develop skill training to enhance confident, effective and aligned engagements with the medical community to reinforce our position as a leader in rare disease.You will be responsible for:Strategic and Hands-On Leadership:Partnering closely with the Global/Local leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to align on training priorities and guide the collaborative building of strategic and customized curricula for medical teams based on identified needs and emerging clinical data.Guide the localisation of training content and provide focused support during product launches.Oversee and improve the learner experience within the LMS, ensuring it supports optimal training delivery and user engagement.Provide comprehensive strategic leadership, operating in a matrix model by setting goals and objectives for members of the teamUnderstand internal customers and the country audience to deliver trainings that are personalised, comprehensive and 'on demand'Act as a strategic performance consultant to understand business goals and determine whether training is the correct intervention, and if so, how it should be optimally delivered to ensure learning takes place.Mentorship and Team Development: Serve as a mentor to team members, including Senior managers/learning partners, interns, promoting professional growth and development.Budget and Resource Stewardship: Manage the training budget, aligning financial resources with strategic training initiatives.Program Evaluation and Metrics: Oversee the development of metrics to assess training impact, driving continuous program improvement.Curriculum Development:Actively engage in the development and delivery of scientific training initiatives that are aligned to our medical strategy and local market needs
