We are looking for a Machinery Safety Specialist to join our Global Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Team for our Transformers Business Unit!In this role, you will report directly to the BU Transformers HSE Manager (Global) and act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for machine risk assessment functional safety for machinery, and machine safeguarding.We are considering different locations for this role: Spain (Cordoba, Bilbao, Madrid, Zaragoza), Italy (Monseliche Milano) Poland (Lodz).How you'll make an impactReport directly to the BU Transformers HSE Manager (Global) and act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for machine risk assessment, functional safety for machinery, and machine safeguarding.Design and implement a comprehensive Machinery Safety Program in the BU Transformers, working closely with BU, HUB, and factory operations teams.Advise and support the definition and implementation of safety-critical controls for industrial machinery capital projects and upgrades.Support and guide HUB Machine Safety Specialists (Engineers), sharing best practices and developing local machine safety competency.Provide technical support in the assessment of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring compliance with internal, industry consensus, and regulatory standards.Lead risk assessment initiatives and risk mitigation in the scope of machine safety.Provide machine safety training and develop technical competency at local sites.Support the investigation of incidents, determine root causes, and prepare corrective and preventive action plans.Your backgroundBachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (HSE education or similar experiences is desirable).Over 8 years of global/regional experience in machine safety management, maintenance, risk assessment, and design.Understanding of the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, ISO 12100:2010, and relevant standards.Experience in reading and designing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems diagrams.Proactive mindset, excellent communication and influencing skills, willingness to travel globally (10-20% time), and fluency in English.More about us:Our flexible working practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.Our employee benefit programs are tailored to each country, depending on location of employment and job grade.
