Discover our True Care culture: h ttps://www.diaverum.com/en/about-us/our-culture/ A BOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Global ESG Manager, the G lobal E nvironmental and sustainability specialist will drive Diaverum's commitment to achieving net zero by 2050. You will lead Diaverum's corporate environmental strategy and net-zero transition priorities, ensuring a cohesive approach, a clear delivery plan, and effective progress monitoring and reporting. The role involves advising and supporting departments to enhance sustainability practices, ensuring informed decision-making across the organization. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is central to this role, advancing sustainable healthcare solutions, reducing emissions, and promoting environmental responsibility. You will also empower employees through training and awareness initiatives, fostering a company-wide culture of sustainability. Preferred location: Spain, or any country in Europe where we operate. R ESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy and Operational responsibilities: D evelop and implement Diaverum's corporate environmental strategy and net-zero transition priorities alongside setting relevant policies and standards for the organisation to follow. Setting clear, coherent, prioritised actions to reduce environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining GHG reduction initiatives. D ata controlling & Reporting: S trengthening carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3) in alignment with the GHG Protocol. Enhance and automate existing systems and processes for monitoring and reporting GHG and environmental data to improve accuracy and efficiency. Tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement. Prepare the sustainability report, ensuring compliance with ESRS requirements for carbon, energy, waste, and water data points. Oversee the external verification of GHG and environmental data to enhance credibility and transparency. ?? Stakeholder engagement: B uild partnerships with sectorial organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders to accelerate progress toward net zero targets. Represent the firm in external forums, and communicate our environmental achievements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, Medical, Compliance, Corporate Communications) to implement GHG reduction programs. Empower employees to act through training, workshops, and awareness sessions (e.g Climate fresk, 2 tonnes, etc.). ABOUT YOU: You have studies and qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. We value if you hold a Master's Degree in sustainability, environmental management, engineering, or a relevant field. You possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in multinational companies. Experience in the healthcare sector or in a large organization is highly valued. You bring direct experience in developing and implementing organization-wide environmental and GHG reduction strategies. Additionally, you have a strong understanding of EU reporting regulations (CSRD/ESRS) and are proficient in conducting greenhouse gas emissions inventories (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) under the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. You demonstrate strong data analysis and reporting skills and possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Knowledge in carbon reduction technologies, circular economy principles for the healthcare sector, and experience as a Climate Fresk facilitator are highly valued.You are proficient in English, and additional language skills are a significant advantage. You are skilled in using the MS Office package and exhibit strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.F urthermore, you are a strong team player who can work independently to deliver results within deadlines and manage high-pressure situations. Your collaborative mindset enables you to influence diverse stakeholders effectively. You have a passion for driving environmental performance and inspiring others to take action.You also possess strong analytical skills combined with sound judgment in field-controlled scenarios. Your ability to prioritize effectively and adapt swiftly is a key strength, alongside your commitment to delivering results.
