SENIOR SBA LOAN PROCESSOR/CLOSER The Senior SBA Loan Processor is responsible for all functions of processing and closing SBA Loans in compliance with SBA SOP, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as Bank lending policies and procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing and understanding Entity Documentation, Purchase Sale Agreements, Title Commitments, and Prelims.
Key duties include:
Preparing Loan Documents in compliance with SBA SOP, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as Bank lending policies and procedures. Working closely with underwriters, brokers, and customers. Assuming responsibility for various department functions as necessary or in the absence of staff members. Promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. Engaging in some direct customer contact and cross-training for other positions within the SBA Department. Process and prepare SBA loan files for closing and funding. Prepare and order all reports and forms required by SBA SOP to close and fund loans. Assist Loan Officers, lending support staff, and other Bank personnel in resolving inquiries or issues relating to loan servicing. Respond to customer inquiries and direct them to the proper Bank personnel. Assume responsibility for special projects; gather data and prepare reports for Senior Management, audits, and other personnel. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of banking laws and SBA regulations by reading various publications and circulars; attend seminars and meetings with peers. Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent from an acceptable 4-year college or university; or at least 5 years of banking experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work-related experience should consist of a financial analyzing or credit review background. Educational experience through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry-related curriculum should be business or financial industry-related.
Basic knowledge of title policies and related loan regulations such as RESPA, HMDA, and other Bank lending policies is required.
