We are looking for a Technical Accountant LATAM based in Barcelona.
The job holder is a member of the Finance Technical Accounting Team and will work with team members and Directors for all key compliance deadlines of the Air Products legal entities. The incumbent will act as an expert for Mexico and Peru, maintaining the integrity of the financial reports with US, local GAAP, SOX, and corporate standards to ensure reports satisfy reporting requirements of US GAAP and SOX.
As Technical Accountant, you will: Be responsible for ensuring that all key compliance deadlines are met; Ensure timely and accurate US GAAP and local GAAP under IFRS accounting and reporting and compliance and statutory requirements including statutory audit as applicable for AP subsidiaries in LATAM; Ensure timely and accurate US GAAP reporting for AP Joint Venture in México including appropriate communication and relations with JV partners Management and reporting to AP Business Management; Conduct month-end and year-end close processes; Collect, analyze, and summarize account information; Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures; Ensure timely and accurate GAAP accounting and reporting and compliance with all Tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements including statutory audit as applicable. You will have: Working experience of 3-5 years in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS; Degree in Financial Accounting, preferable IFRS background; Working experience in an international team; Fluent in English and Spanish; Advanced Excel skills; Ability to communicate effectively in a large multi-disciplined environment.
