We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant that will be part of the European Shared Service Center team and report to the GL Supervisor. As our GL Accountant, you'll play a very important role in the day-to-day financial operations of different Business Units of JBT around Europe. You will have frequent interactions with other colleagues in the finance department and other operational teams in the company. We offer you the growth potential of a company with a developing technology that is unique in its field, plus a collaborative working environment where your individuality, imagination and talent will be recognized.Responsibilities:Provide support for any general accounting related task.Month-end, Quarter-end and Year-end close process.Review trial balance and reconcile/analyze all general ledger accounts.Intercompany reconciliation.HFM USGAAP reporting - monthly/quarterly/yearly.Being able to cover for the ESSC GL Lead as and when required.Active participation in initiatives/projects relating to the implementation of ways to minimize manual processes for improving efficiencies and effectiveness.Assist in ad-hoc accounting related projects as required (ex. Migrations, new tools implementation).Month end reporting to JBT SSC Management - Operations Review and KPIs delivery and analysis.Assist in auditor's reviews, either internal, external or SOX reviews.Qualifications:Who You Are:Core competences:Ability to perform under pressure and deliver under tight deadlines.Experience in process analysis.Problem solving.Planning and organizing.Communication and teamwork.Proactive.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.2-3 years experience in General Accounting & Accounting in a multinational company.SSC Experience desirable.Knowledge of ERP Solutions (SAP/JDE) and Hyperion or equivalent desirable.Fluent verbal/written Spanish and English.Strong Accounting knowledge.US GAAP Reporting knowledge.Transactional processes and problem solving.SOX/Internal Controls knowledge.Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Data Accuracy.Strong ability to work with minimal supervision.Why JBT?
