The products offered by Atradius protect companies around the world against the default risks associated with selling goods and services on credit.Department Description The Group Compliance Officer is a member of the Atradius group compliance function. The group compliance function, which is part of the Group Legal & Compliance unit, is responsible for the maintenance and overall effectiveness of Atradius' compliance framework including the compliance function and acts as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The mission of Atradius' compliance function is (i) to support and advise Atradius and its management in achieving its mission statement through compliance practices, which contribute to sound and controlled business conduct and practices in every aspect of Atradius' organization, and (ii) jointly with the business fully integrate compliance risk management in all daily business activities of Atradius.In this position your key responsibilities will be:Proactively contribute to enhance compliance policies and procedures to continually improve internal controls to comply with laws and regulations.Provide compliance input to projects with a compliance component being implemented within the organization.Liaise with the representatives of the local compliance function in the countries where Atradius operates and provide assistance as required.Provide input and support in the drafting of compliance policies and procedures, presentations and reports for Atradius management.Monitor industry developments and maintain knowledge of new and amended laws and regulations that may impact Atradius' operations.Provide compliance advice in matters arising in other business units in the regular conduct of business activities within the organization.Assist in the coordination of responses to requests received by regulatory authorities, gathering the information required from different business units within the organization.Provide support to the group compliance team in managing the risk of international sanctions within the organization. This includes the provision of support in the sanctions screening process, provide assistance to local compliance and other internal stakeholders on sanctions related issues, and participate in the delivery of sanctions training to employees.Contribute on data protection matters in relation to adherence to data protection legislation and internal procedures.Required qualifications:A Master's degree in law, finance/economics or similar.3 to 5 years work experience in compliance within an international organisation.Experience in customer due diligence, KYC, sanctions, bribery and corruption.Experience in data protection will be desirable
