Its track record to date includes more than 304 miles of tunnels, 11,930 miles of roads (including 2,485 miles of highways), 2920 miles of railroad lines (including 434 miles of high-speed railroads), and 16,994 miles of road maintenance and repair.Job Description:You will be responsible for supporting international projects in its different stages providing technical assistance in geotechnical works. At an early stage, this position will be based in Madrid, having to travel overseas frequently. After this first stage, there will be a long-term international assignment in any of the international projects Ferrovial currently has.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Plans and oversees geotechnical field explorations and soil remediation programs.- Manages both internal and external teams of experts.- Performs visits to the working site to oversee geotechnical works and construction activities.- Reviews geotechnical information of different projects during the bidding stage providing technical assistance.- Prepares geotechnical reports about building, roads, and railway projects.- Performs soil-structure analysis, assisting in the design of shallow and deep foundations, tunnels, and earth retaining structures.- Expertise in Plaxis 2D software, both in modeling and in interpretation.- Expertise in commercial geotechnical software packages (Rocs-cience, Ensoft, Geo-Studio, etc).SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- Civil Engineering or similar.- 5 to 10 years' experience in underground works.- High English level.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Problem-solving skills.- Demonstrated analytical skills.- Willingness to travel and relocate.Ferrovial embraces diversity and inclusion, and we see the value in providing equal opportunities to all employees.
