We do so by:Leveraging technology and digital ways of workingImplementing robust governance frameworks for successful digital initiativesStreamlining project execution with advance technology and connected dataOrganizing project data and enabling automation.As a Geographic Information System Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing and maintaining robust enterprise Geodatabases using the ESRI platform, which will be essential for supporting spatial data management and analysis. The role requires a candidate that combines the technical expertise to build the Geodatabases with great communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into plain language terms that can be understood at all levels.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their spatial data needs and requirements needed to build the client's on-premises and public-facing GeoDatabases. Liaise with different teams to gather geospatial information requirements for environmental monitoring.Database design: Design the structure of the GeoDatabase, including feature datasets, feature classes, attribute tables, domains, relationships, and spatial indexes, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.Data modeling: Develop data models that reflect the client's requirements, processes, and workflows, ensuring that spatial data is organised, stored efficiently and makes for simple and efficient display, editing, and analysis.Data migration: Coordinate the auditing and migration of existing spatial data from various sources into the client's enterprise GeoDatabase, ensuring data integrity and consistency.GeoDatabase administration: Configure and administer the client's GeoDatabase, including user access control, versioning, replication, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality and security.Metadata management: Establish metadata standards and documentation procedures for the GeoDatabase, ensuring that data is well documented and easily discoverable by users
