In these more than 140 years, it has grown from a small seed company to become one of the leading multinationals in the sector of genetic improvement, production, and distribution of seeds of horticultural and extensive species with an investment in R&D of almost 30% of the turnover.With more than 800 employees and presence in over 20 countries, we are seeking to incorporate a Genomics Project Lead in Cabrera de Mar, Barcelona.What will be your responsibilities?Lead and execute project management in the genomics area:Analyze, together with the different functional areas and the Breeding team, the needs for new biotechnology tools, protocols, and methodologies to accelerate/improve the process of variety creation.Push and supervise the execution of the project in terms of deadlines and quality.Collaborate cross-functionally with key internal (including Biotech, Breeding, Development, etc.) and external stakeholders to deliver results.Analyze and interpret results using various bioinformatics and biostatistics tools.Present results to internal stakeholders and evaluate potential IP from project deliverables.Support, train, and ensure that all Biotech units and the Breeding team understand and correctly use the genomics tools (genetic mapping of traits of interest, molecular breeding, and computational data analysis).Stay informed with trends in new breeding tools by keeping up with scientific literature and participating in internal strategic breeding and development meetings, as well as international scientific congresses.We know you'll do a great job, so we've thought of these benefits for you...Welcome plan and monitoring of your professional development, with evaluations and individual development plans.Access to an online training platform, with an extensive self-training catalogue for continuous learning.Commitment to Internal Promotion.Others.Requirements:You are the talent we are looking for if you:Hold a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genomics, Genetics, Plant Biotechnology, and/or Bioinformatics.Possess strong knowledge of genomics and quantitative genetics.Have experience in molecular biology and functional genomics.Have knowledge in population genomics.Demonstrate excellent understanding of bioinformatics tools, statistics, and experimental design principles.Have a good understanding of biotechnology tools and methods and their application in plant breeding.Show demonstrated experience in project management.Have English as a working language (written and verbal is required).Valuable experience in the Vegetable Seed sector will be considered.#J-18808-Ljbffr
