Our incredible customers undertake life-saving activities ranging from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, new medicines, and cell and gene therapies.The Account Manager is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services, establishing professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts, and meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.This position reports to the USCAN Continental Zone Leader Commercial and is part of the Genomic Medicine.
This position is fully remote, and the Account Manager will be expected to cover accounts over a 12-state territory in the Upper Midwest region of the US.What you will do:Represent Cytiva and function as a key customer point of contact in all allocated accounts and in the territory for both Bioprocessing and Genomic Medicine customer segments.Provide technical support, leveraging technical specialists where needed, aligned with customer workflows and activities to develop and support solutions that meet or exceed the customers' expectations.Expand the business, gain market share, and grow sales and order at expected margins.Achieve annual/quarterly targets through successful promotion of all business technologies and capabilities within all modalities which are relevant to this account.
This includes prospecting, forecasting, generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, initiating, and planning customer visits at all levels of the customer organization.Negotiate master agreements and contracts, including terms and conditions as well as facilitating tender responses to customers from the account, in conjunction with product sales specialists as needed.Who you are:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Life Sciences or relevant field.3+ years of commercial sales experience in Biotechnology or Life Sciences industry.Familiarity with bioprocessing and genomic medicine products.
Significant experience with sales techniques including cross selling, upselling, value positions, and funnel management.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to include commercial contracts, MSA's as well as working with finance and other business partners.Ability to travel – 50% overnight travel within territory.Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20lb
