Job Summary :
As the GENERAL MANAGER of the biotech company, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the organization. Your role will involve setting company goals, developing and implementing business strategies, overseeing operations, and ensuring the company's continued growth through developing international markets. Furthermore, you will be responsible for fostering innovation, driving profitability, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, employees, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Leadership:
Develop and articulate a compelling vision and mission for the company to ensure continued success.
Identify key market trends and opportunities and steer the organization in alignment with these factors.
Set strategic goals and objectives to drive the company's growth and profitability.
2. Business Development:
Establish and maintain relationships with partners, clients, suppliers, and investors to optimize revenue potential.
Collaborate with the executive team to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and licensing agreements.
Drive the expansion into new markets, both domestically and internationally.
Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities.
Monitor key financial metrics, review financial reports, and take appropriate actions to optimize financial performance.
3. Operations Management:
Provide effective leadership to the executive team and ensure the organization is properly structured to support the company's goals.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient execution, quality control, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
4. Talent Management and Organizational Culture:
Attract, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of high performance, creativity, and collaboration.
Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to the management team.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with the company's values.
5. External Relations and Public Image:
Represent the company with external stakeholders, including industry associations, regulatory bodies, and media.
Enhance the company's brand and reputation through effective public relations strategies and thought leadership.
Qualifications and Experience :
A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience within the biotech industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a biotech company.
In-depth knowledge of biotech processes, regulations, and technologies.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated financial management capabilities, including budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
