Job Objective/s The General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for managing all transactions other than Accounts Payable-related; financial reporting, reconciliations, analyses; tax compliance and month-end closing.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reports (including AFS) of assigned companiesAccount Schedule Analyses, Monitoring, and Reconciliations of assigned companiesCompliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Income Tax Returns of assigned companiesOther related schedules and analysis as requiredSpecific Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews draft Audited Financial Statements with external auditors on comments and notes.Manages schedules, analyses, and reconciliations of each assigned company.Reviews financial information to support Financial Statements and Closing of Books.Collaborates with Site and Corporate Accounting on all transactions for recording other than Accounts Payable; and Finance on billing and collection information.Manages inter-company transactions and/or advances between subsidiaries and issues corresponding Debit Notes.Collaborates with Tax Team on monthly and quarterly Output tax summary list for BIR submission.Prepares monthly debit notes to reimburse expenses advanced on behalf of other subsidiaries.Prepares monthly income tax computation.Manages the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual Income Tax Return (ITR) and Account Information Form updates.Ensures completeness of journal entries during month-end and year-end for posting of GL approver.Basic Qualifications: Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in AccountancyCertified Public AccountantMinimum of 4 years of experience in General AccountingWorking experience using enterprise systems such as SAP and NetSuite preferredGood written and verbal communication skillsGood organization, prioritization, decision-making, and planning skillsAbility to engage others and work collaboratively with all teams in the Controllership department and other departments of the companyAbility to manage multiple priorities effectively with a strong commitment to achieving departmental and company goalsAttention to detail and sound analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial informationTeam-oriented and flexible, able to work closely with all levels of management
