Our client is a leading international company specialising in FMCG industry. They are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join their team. The accounting team consists of 4 people, who are collectively responsible for all financial activities in BENELUX. Responsibilities/Tasks Management and processing of financial transactions in the general ledgerExecuting month-end and year-end closingsPreparing financial reports such as balance sheets and profit and loss statementsReconciling general ledger entries and resolving any discrepanciesPreparing various tax returns and ensuring timely payments and compliance with tax regulationsSupporting internal and external auditsIdentifying and implementing process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of financial administrationCollaborating with other departments to gather and analyze financial dataAssisting with financial projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and other ad-hoc projectsRequirements Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCGA completed degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldKnowledge of accounting principles and financial processesStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenA team player with a proactive attitude and able to work independentlyGood Microsoft Office skillsFluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plusMust be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
