Number of vacancies and features of the job vacancy Number of job vacancies: one.Job position: Pre-doctoral Researcher.Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in the morning/afternoon sessions.Remuneration: €1,321.43 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).Estimated duration of the contract: 1 year. The duration of the contract will depend on the duration of the project and budget availability.Second. Purpose The successful applicant will collaborate in the research project «Valorisation of biomass as a green platform: from lignocellulosic biomass to chemical compounds and carbon materials with high added value» developing doctoral training in the area of materials science with the aim of preparing a doctoral thesis within the scope of this project and carrying out the following research tasks:Preparation and characterisation of carbonaceous materials derived from lignocellulosic biomass waste for application in supercapacitors.Assembly of energy storage devices.Study of symmetrical and asymmetrical configurations and their electrochemical characterisation.Any other task related to the job position that may arise from the execution of the project.Third. Job profile Preference will be given to those with experience and training related to the tasks to be carried out:Solid characterisation techniques, including physical adsorption of gases, programmed temperature desorption, thermogravimetry.Electrochemical techniques, including cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry.Application of porous carbon materials as electrodes for electrochemical capacitors.Qualification: Official university master's degree in Materials Sciences or any other official Master's degree with equivalent content.Fourth.
