As a company committed to diversity and inclusion, we encourage all professionals who meet the job description requirements to apply.As a member of the Global Compliance and Regulation department within Repsol's Wholesale and Gas Trading Division (WGT), the Leader, Gas Trading Compliance and Regulation will work to manage various risks while enabling trading operations from the compliance perspective and will support the development and implementation of the Company Strategy about new or current regulations.Functions and Responsibilities Monitor, research, interpret Spanish and European gas market regulations and advise the business on them, consolidating a Company position for any current or new regulation, developing arguments supporting this position.Network widely and collaborate with industry peers and be active in industry associations in relation to regulations trying to reinforce arguments in favor of Company Position.Monitor, research, interpret both external and internal energy trading regulations, and advise and train the business on them.Design and implement policies and internal controls to ensure compliance-related risks are sufficiently mitigated.Continually improve the Trading Compliance program and internal control structure, identifying gaps and recommending risk-mitigating solutions.Monitor and review trading activities to detect potential non-compliance events.Support the operation of trade surveillance activities with the objectives of preventing, detecting and investigating possible manipulative activities, policy violations, and/or other trading anomalies.Lead the enterprise risk management and audit & assurance initiatives for the business.Manage third party risks.Liaise with corporate functions such as Legal, Audit, Risk, etc. to support initiatives as needed.Develop a deep understanding of Repsol's front-to-back office trading processes, and coordinate with other groups (e.G. Front-Office, Back-Office, Risk, Processes, IT, and Legal) to ensure that all processes are designed to operate in line with external and internal regulations.Perform third party due diligence activities, including understanding and monitoring international sanctions regimes and advising the business on other third-party risks (e.G. anti-bribery, etc.).Develop operational compliance tools, including but not limited to: policies and procedures, internal checklists, roles & responsibilities charts, etc.Requirements Have knowledge of current gas and energy sector regulations in Spain and Europe
