A Snapshot of Your Day:
Plan, coordinate, supervise and execute the different Fact Finding and Commissioning tasks during the installation and maintenance activities of Gas Turbines/ Steam Turbines jobs to ensure High Quality and Safety standards.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Perform specialized engineer level work in the field in one or more of the defined specialty tasks such as inspection on turbine related components and auxiliaries, providing recommendations to customers based on specifications and requirements.
Perform on-site installation of systems, equipment, after market upgrades and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation, including requests for emergency repairs and services, troubleshooting and provision of instructions to on site team and customers.
Contribute to planning and implementing commissioning activities, supporting, and coordinating installation activities with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager, implementing commissioning design changes, providing mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
Support continuous improvement of process/product/system design, participate in internal review meetings, providing inputs on commissioning activities and other tasks and equipment.
Perform commissioning of turbines during COLD and HOT commissioning phases, starting from single component to the full system (Turbine and auxiliaries) according to specifications and engineering documents, including functional tests and logic interlocks verification and reports.
Effectively identify technical or schedule problems as they occur and take appropriate actions to resolve including escalation of more complex issues to a higher level, providing expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and subordinate technicians of customers.
Perform measurements and compile records to document condition of equipment and assure quality, provide required documentation and reports in accordance with the procedure.
Ensure the appropriate standards in Quality and HSE are followed at all times.
Perform day to day activities as part of a team or as stand-alone function and other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
Bachelor/ Master of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and Process), OR a High School Diploma/ GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the relevant field of work. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; work experience in the relevant field of work is a plus.
General profound understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with/based on technical documentation.
Good general skills in mechanical maintenance activities of power generation equipment or in the Oil & Gas industry and willingness to continuously work hands-on under time pressure and in difficult conditions.
Digital literacy, confident user of relevant IT-applications (Microsoft Office), additional IT-competence will be beneficial.
Experience in power plant operations and/or Oil & Gas operations and/or specific Siemens Gas or Steam turbine operations and maintenance know-how is an advantage.
Pro-active, problem solving and ready to work attitude, readiness to take additional tasks to improve the status quo if needed.
Understanding of relevant industry standards for Quality and HSE.
Fluent in English Language (Written & Oral), other languages are beneficial.
Strong analytical skills with an affinity to technology and innovation in the service industry combined with a proactive and convincing attitude.
Team player with high level of resilience, the ability to work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a complex environment collaborating with international teams.
Willing to extensively travel internationally (up to 100%) on short notice and work flexible hours.
