Through a customer-centred approach, you will join the Commercial business unit which provides a complete and integrated offer, including oil products, natural gas and electricity. In addition to these, it also offers convenience products and services and multi-energy proposals, such as charging stations for electric vehicles or decentralised solar energy solutions.
About your future team As an active partner in changing the energy paradigm, Galp is reformulating its portfolio. It will be a crucial player in this shift towards greater profitability and lower carbon intensity, contributing to the decision-making process in various commodities, with a special focus on Natural Gas.
The New Power (Gas&H2) team is responsible for building gas products that allow Galp to maintain its margin, minimising risks and covering market needs. To do this, the team must have in-depth knowledge of the gas market and its cost structure, the risks associated with the different products and modalities, as well as Galp's commercial process.
On a day-to-day basis, they must support the commercial team, developing and maintaining the tools that allow them to generate offers on a massive scale and preparing personalised studies in cases where this is necessary, always with a vision of excellence and continuous process improvement.
How will your day to day look like Developing and maintaining pricing tools and models (Excel+VBA+PowerBI+PowerAutomate) to guarantee an agile and appropriate response to requests, as well as incorporating regulatory or market changes.Improving the area's processes by rationalising and automating internal processes.Development of new commercial variants (flexibility options, new indexations, etc.).Management of flexibility, volatility, etc. pricing models.Drawing up customised proposals for prices and other contractual conditions for the supply of natural gas, in segments where customisation is required.Analysing the competitiveness of Galp Energia's proposals for the different markets/segments, analysing the cost structure and estimating them for the future.Keeping abreast of regulatory changes in the gas sector to support Galp Energia's Commercial Areas, as well as customer requests.Collaborating in the improvement of corporate systems at the points of interaction with our area (from the survey of needs to the final testing of developments).What makes you unique Between 3 and 5 years of relevant related experience.Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, economics or similar.Knowledge of the energy sector, especially the gas sector, the operation of gas hubs, hedging operations and gas products.Very advanced level in the use of Microsoft Excel.Ability to create and maintain Excel macros in VBA language.Ability to create and maintain dashboards in PowerBI, using power queries and DAX formulas.Experience in economic or risk modelling. Knowledge of statistical models is desirable.Knowledge of Power Automate, Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.Analytical profile, with the ability to understand market structure, model future costs, analyse competition behaviour, model consumption forecasts, etc.Talent for time management and attention to detail.Analytical mind and strong value ethic.Flexibility and the ability to act with a substantial degree of autonomy with an orientation towards continuous improvement.Ability to adapt to change and work as part of a team.Fluent in English and Portuguese (Spanish is an advantage), both verbally and in writing.At Galp, we have the ambition to be a Human Centered Company, and for that we acknowledge our responsibility to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) by having a genuine mindset, lived in our day-to-day, in all our processes.
