By working with our customers to ensure their success, we can improve the quality of life, ensure safety and promote the well-being of people around the globe.Sales Area Manager (M/F)We are looking for someone who can take over incumbent devices and solution activity (multi-energy: water and static gas mainly) and at the same time develop a new portfolio on Smart cities, WOM (water operations management), and DER (Distributed Energy Resources management). The new member will be responsible for mainly eastern Spain; a small Catalan knowledge would be beneficial.ResponsibilitiesExpanding existing accounts mainly in eastern Spanish territory and occasionally pursuing new account development.Visiting existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities consistent with Itron's current set of solutions and strategic direction.Introducing the new Itron solutions portfolio.Preparing customer offers, and answering tenders and sales contracts.Following up on orders and ensuring orders are filled and world-class customer service is provided.Taking part in budget elaboration over accounts and being responsible for the results (revenue and expenses).Preparing business reports for management.Profile & EducationMinimum 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record in prospecting, closing, and growing business accounts, ideally within public sector and related utility industries.BA degree with a strong engineering mindset and communication skills.Native Spanish and fluent English are required. Catalan would be a huge plus.Strong analytical, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage one's own time, flexibility, and adaptability.For decades, Itron has been delivering critical energy and water infrastructure services to customers around the globe-and we're just getting started.
