Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Endpoint Experience Transformation, is responsible for leading the strategic vision, development, and execution of the end-user computing environment across the entire organization.
This role will encompass both the corporate environment and field operations, including print and design centers. The individual will be responsible for modernizing the end-user productivity tool suite, ensuring a seamless and optimized user experience, and driving cost efficiencies.
The role involves managing and transforming the Microsoft and Apple Macintosh environments, developing comprehensive standards, architecture, and roadmap plans, and rolling out innovative solutions that enhance collaboration and productivity.
The Senior Director will also oversee identity and access management, vendor relationships, device imaging, management, and procurement processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will have supervisory responsibilities, leading a team of IT professionals focused on end-user computing and support.
Essential Job Duties / Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive transformation roadmap for end-user computing.
- Lead the modernization of endpoint device management and user toolsets.
- Develop standards, architecture, and rollout plans for end-user productivity tools and collaboration suites (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack, Box, OneDrive, Google Suite).Technology Management:
- Manage and control Windows and Apple Macintosh environments securely.
- Ensure seamless user experiences across applications with identity and access management, cybersecurity, single sign-on, and multifactor authentication.
- Conduct proof of concepts and research on emerging technologies to enhance end-user productivity.Operational Excellence:
- Optimize help desk and support processes, leveraging AI-based tools for user support.
- Implement and manage identity and access management solutions.
- Oversee vendor relationships and optimize device procurement and management processes.Field Operations Support:
- Develop and execute plans to upgrade and secure technology in production facilities.
- Ensure reliability and security of systems supporting print and design centers.Leadership and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Performance Measurement:
- Develop and implement metrics to measure the success of end-user computing programs.
- Use metrics for continuous improvement and to optimize the user experience. Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall IT strategy and business objectives.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- 15+ years of experience in endpoint and Microsoft technologies.
- Experience in end-user management and white-glove service capacity, servicing executives and their endpoint computing needs.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of end-user computing transformations.
- Expertise in Microsoft and Apple Macintosh technologies.
- Experience with end-user management, helpdesk operations, and white-glove service.
- Strong understanding of collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Suite).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with and influence leaders at various levels of the organization.
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in endpoint and Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with Mac and Windows environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Enterprise Administrator Expert).
Travel Required:
Travel required approximately one week per month to spend time on-site and with resources in the field.
Work Environment:
Work from home except for travel to corporate or field offices.
