WHAT YOU'LL DO:
NextGen Ways of Working (NGWOW) and NextGen PTO (NGPTO) form jointly a common global priority initiative sponsored by BCG Executive Committee with the goal to maintain our ability to deliver industry leading value creation, to role model for our clients, to provide growth & sustainability to our staff, and to ensure that we can recruit and retain the most talented, diverse people.
NGWOW is about two objectives: delivering client impact in less time AND working in a more sustainable way for our teams and for us.
NGPTO is a key enabler of NGWOW, leveraging performance coaching, a range of Teaming Tools and Techniques (TTT) and an impactful case leadership through the role of the Executing Officer (XO).
We have been on a journey to innovate the way we deliver value to our clients and work together as a team for the last 12 months. We have tried and tested new tools and techniques in multiple pilots around the world. We have learned what works and what doesn't and are continuously learning as we go.
We are now launching at scale a performance coaching model for BCG teams, with coaches to be trained in each system to deliver support for all cohorts within a team (including MDPs), in key partnership with Executing Officers (XOs), unlocking effectiveness and individual sustainability & satisfaction by enabling teams to work in a new way.
Each Team performance coach will focus and cover 3 key areas:
Coach most complex and high priority BCG cases, accelerating adoption of new ways of working for the whole team(s), with great emphasis on enabling effective leadership by working alongside large MDPs/MD/Directors within each project (Coaching) (40%-50%)
Act as global mentor and enabler of system-level coaches (Learning & Development) (25%-30%)
Continuously innovate the global NGWOW concept/offering (Concept design) (25%-30%)
For 1) you will liaise with the relevant Regional CT people director & Regional NGPTO manager; while for 2) and 3) you will liaise with the NGWOW/NGPTO and L&D teams.
You will perfect and further develop:
Your skills as coach & team shaper, innovating the way BCG teams work in their most important case projects
Your leadership and mentorship ability, in developing system-coaches by providing on-the-job mentoring and delivering key learning assets to the coaching community (and potentially also to selected BCG cohorts/systems)
Your skills related to value creation, team building, establishment of psychological safety, agile ways of working, digital collaboration
Your potential to influence decision makers and key BCG stakeholders
YOU'RE GOOD AT:
Coaching teams, executives and individuals from different backgrounds and with different skill-sets
Adopting and flexing a range of coaching styles to fit the needs of the team/counterpart

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):
A consulting background with at least 2-3 years as team leader
Agile proficiency / experience
Team management or Executive coaching experience
Minimum 8 years professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility
