About the Role:As a member of the Confluent Sales Team, the Account Executive, Digital Native Business is responsible for selling Confluent solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises.
We expect you to use your prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to effectively sell Confluent offerings to leading companies to meet and exceed your quarterly sales target. You must possess a "hunter/closer" mentality with a proven track record of success within a value-driven sales model.
What You Will Do:Responsible for driving revenue growth for large, diverse, complex territoriesProactively prospect, identify, qualify, develop, and close a sales pipelineManage the entire sales process, and collaborate with team members in business development, customer success, and supportParticipate in the development, presentation, and sales of a value propositionPartner with Solutions Engineers & Professional Services to ensure customer successLiaises with customer contacts to manage customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and maximize salesResponsible for understanding Confluent offerings and the competitive landscapeTravels to customer sites to identify/develop sales opportunities when requiredAbility to negotiate SaaS/cloud/software contractsWhat You Will Bring:3+ years of field experience in a quota-carrying role focused on landing net-new logosPrior experience in Big Data, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT SolutionsPrevious sales methodology training (i.e. MEDDPICC, Challenger, etc.)Consistent track record of success and history of overachieving and hitting quota attainmentExceptional communication skills - written and oral including strong presentation skillsHigh integrity, intelligence, self-driven, and team playerHighly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skillsOpen to travel to customer locations as neededBS/BA degree or equivalent preferredBased in Barcelona, Spain. Able to go into the office a minimum of 3 days a week.
