Here at La Casita de Inglés, we believe that learning should be fun! We teach English to children through games, arts & crafts, singing and dancing, theatre, yoga and baking! Almost all of the planning is provided for you, with teachers only having to tailor some of the ideas provided to them related to the topic of the week (outer space, sports, science, food, mindfulness, music, nature, etc.) to their specific groups. We don't carry out exams and only require teachers to fill out progress reports every trimester. Classes are small and interactive, with a maximum of 8 children per class in our after-school programme (although this number can occasionally reach a maximum of 10 if students need to make up on any given week).
Tasks Our after-school program generally runs from: Mondays-Fridays 17:30-19:30 (15€/hour after tax) and 11:00 - 13:00 on Saturdays (20€/hour after tax). It is not necessary to work every day, although we prefer you work with us for a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week. There is also the option to work in our many camps and workshops that run throughout the year, as well as great opportunity for growth within the company: managerial roles, using hobbies or talents you may have to organize workshops or even joining us at our central office.
We have opportunities for permanent shifts starting on August 9th in our Boadilla del Monte and Alcobendas locations in Madrid for the coming school year 2024/25 - see list of shifts still available below:
Boadilla del Monte: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 17:30-19:30, Saturday 11:00-13:00.
Boadilla del Monte: Monday & Wednesday 17:30-18:30.
Alcobendas: Monday-Friday 16:00-19:30 (650 Euros/month, net)
Alcobendas: Monday-Thursday 17:30-19:30 & Friday 17:00-19:00.
Vallecas: Thursday 17:30-19:30.
Requirements What we're looking for: Fun, creative and enthusiastic teachers who love working with kids. You must also have at least six months of experience teaching or working with children in a professional capacity (not just babysitting or nannying, for example), as well as a perfect NATIVE English accent/C2 English certificate, or accent from any English speaking country.
