Working in collaboration with other members of the Technology and Marketing teams, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving the organization's goals by delivering high-quality websites that meet the company's needs. In this role, the candidate will be expected to optimize the performance, functionality, and user experience of the websites.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain WordPress plugins and themes; Ensure high performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS; Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices; Collaborate with other team members to ensure the blog and/or website is optimized for usability and performance; Maintain security and optimize the existing code; Integrate third-party APIs to enhance website functionality; Conduct regular site audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization; Responsible for both back-end and front-end development; Comply with data protection and privacy regulations, ensuring adherence to best practices in website management; Promote a culture of partnership, teamwork, innovation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion; Participate in a highly collaborative, customer-centred, data-driven culture that challenges norms with a bias for action and supports the diversity of thought, experiences, and approaches to problem-solving; Duly observe all applicable health and safety laws and regulations.Qualifications & Skills:Degree (or equivalent) preferred, ideally in Computer Science or equivalent experience; At least 3 years ofexperience in WordPress development; Working knowledge with AWS Elastic Beanstalk, S3 and Cloud front is a plus; A good understanding of relational databases, in particular MySQL, is a plus; Experience with responsive and adaptive design is preferred; Experience with Frontend Web frameworks like React.Js, Ember.#J-18808-Ljbffr
