The Role: Masabi is looking for a passionate Squad Leader to join our growing Hub & Partner Enablement Squad.
This squad is made up of the Hub Frontend and Hub Backend pods, along with a new Agency Partner Enablement Pod being formed currently.
There will be approximately 12 engineers in the squad initially and we may look to grow that number in the future.
You will play the internal role of a Squad Leader (based on the Spotify Model).
Your time will be divided between: Delivery management, removing impediments, raising and addressing risks, cross-team engineering rituals, line management and understanding the team's product components from a high-level technical point of view.
Location: This role is available in Spain in a fully remote model.
About You: You should have a problem-solving mindset, paired with strong organising skills that you can push to your team.
You should love creating a clear path for your team, balancing delivery deadlines, capacity, alignment with the rest of the company and continuous support of the existing product.
Familiarity with delivering features and possessing the will to understand the functionalities from a high-level technical perspective are highly desired so that you can represent the team in alignment sessions.
Previous experience in line management would be beneficial, especially in the context of a larger team, but continuous support will be provided.
If you acted as a software developer, you should now be at the point where your main focus is not code writing but putting your skills to use in achieving the strategic goals of your department and our company.
Your available time for writing code will be reduced.
Other tasks, technical or management, will definitely take a higher priority compared to contributing to code.
You like working with people, and balancing their opinions, but can advise others and bring arguments on what you consider the best decisions, coaching, mentoring and supporting colleagues.
You understand the limitations and differences, both technical & political, imposed when dealing with deploying software to customer-facing devices in the real world as opposed to being hidden in the cloud.
Day-to-Day: Collaborate with designers and product managers to shape new features and improve existing functionalities.
Work closely with other teams within Masabi to transform product requirements into technical solutions
