Responsibilities:Process all guest check-in records by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and delivering and activating room keys.Process all types of payments made such as accommodation charges and payments made in cash, checks, or debit/credit cards.Handle all guest charges, including disputed charges or those incurred during late check-out.Attend, register, and process all calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns from guests.Coordinate with the Housekeeping Department to ensure rooms are in perfect condition upon guest arrival.Communicate to guests and visitors the procedures for using the parking and send bell staff or service personnel as needed.Provide directions and information to guests about the hotel and local areas of interest.Prepare daily reports (number of arrivals and departures), identify special requests, and review reports for accuracy.Complete designated cashier reports and closing reports in the computer system.Cash personal checks and travelers' checks from guests.Count cash at the beginning and end of the shift.Balance and deliver receipts according to Accounting specifications.Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate guests' service needs and assist them; thank them with genuine appreciation; assist individuals with disabilities.Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others.Follow quality assurance expectations and standards.Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.Minimum Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED.Work Experience: No related work experience required.Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.License or Certification: None.Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
