Overview This role is accountable for designing the future key strategic initiatives across the Europe Franchise Beverages business, defining and growing our business with key bottling partners across Europe, and supporting beverages inorganic strategic initiatives.
The role involves acting as thought partner to key senior leaders in order to translate strategic recommendations into execution.
Responsibilities Develop the European Franchise strategy for the future working closely with the Europe Franchise BU Leadership Team, Global Franchise team/ MU leads, Europe Sector, M&A/Corporate Strategy, and overall Enterprise.
Specific deliverables include: Developing the Strategy to step-up organic growth across our markets including developing and driving 5-year market growth strategies for key markets, underpinned strongly by competitive intelligence and consumer-centric research.
Developing the Strategic roadmap to consolidate our franchise partner network.
Evaluating and executing inorganic M&A opportunities focused on beverages portfolio strategy.
Develop future Europe Franchise operating model, capturing the full benefits of the Franchise Business set up.
New Business Models – exploring how to integrate new commercial models to drive greater system alignment and exploit new growth platforms.
On each of the above, the role will develop a recommendation for alignment with the ultimate decision makers – SVP Franchise GM, President Europe, President Franchise Beverages, etc.
For each project the individual will need to: Identify and deconstruct business issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses.
Build "Executive ready" project deliverables.
Demonstrate strong leadership and significant influence management skills with the ability to gain credibility with Sr Leadership while challenging the status quo.
Engage externally with bottling partners to build alignment on strategic initiatives.
Build robust financial/strategic models (requiring strong strategical modelling and Excel capability).
Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends.
Collaborate effectively, with stakeholders across the organisation.
Qualifications Proven on the following capabilities / mindset: Results oriented, with strong business acumen.
Ability to think strategically and see the big picture.
Ability to be 80/20 and focus on what matters vs. 'boiling the ocean'.
Able to prepare high quality output on tight deadlines; strong attention to detail and resilience under pressure.
Sound strategic skillset/training.
Experience required: A minimum of ~10 years+ strategy/strategic finance/NRM or equivalent roles or with a Top-Tier consulting firm.
Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop analytical frameworks.
Experience working in cross-functional teams through informal reporting relationships in global matrixed organization.
Proven track record in delivering results.
Strong program/project management skills.
Proven experience to develop multi-market strategies with successful implementation.
Beverage experience is a plus as this role requires the knowledge of beverage business fundamentals.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence a broad set of senior stakeholders internally and externally (including Sector CEOs and Global Functional leads and Bottler CEOs and Country Managing Directors).
Experience working across a broad geography with diverse stakeholders.
