Role Description Create (Sculpt, Model, UV, texture, and create materials) high-quality characters and creatures.Deliver excellent translations of characters while considering game design constraints and respecting a strong artistic direction.Work closely with the Lead 3D Character Artist to ensure the visual target is always exceeded and stylistically consistent.Coordinate with tools and technology teams to develop necessary solutions for creating the best characters possible.Review assets to make certain that they satisfy their intended design and are ready for rigging and animation.Collaborate with other disciplines such as Design, Concept Art, Animation, Tech Art, and VFX to ensure that characters are fully realized.Verify the quality of assets in the game, and make improvements where necessary to fit technical constraints, performance targets, and artistic direction.Ensure the timely completion of assets on style and at the desired quality bar.Mentor Intermediate and Junior 3D Character Artists by providing guidance and feedback.Minimum Requirements +6 years of experience as a Character ArtistHigh-quality portfolio of gamedev-relevant 3D Character Art, preferably with an emphasis on stylization.Able to interpret and follow concepts and reference material to create clean, detailed, and accurate 3D Character models.An excellent understanding of game mechanics related to characters, objects, and environments.Experience integrating 3D assets into industry-leading game engines such as Unity or Unreal (Unity experience is a desired plus).High proficiency in modeling programs such as 3DSMAX, Maya, Blender, Zbrush, and texture/material authoring tools such as Photoshop and Substance.
