About us: CENTUM research & technology, part of CENTUM Group, was founded in 2010 with the following vision: Fly with a purpose. Our mission is to develop and market aeronautical mission systems in the fields of Emergency, Security, Defense and Aerospace.
Our products are based on cutting-edge technology developed by a highly qualified team of engineers. We design solutions that allow aeronautical platforms to not just fly, but to fly with a purpose.
The goal of our business is clear: to improve people's lives. We work to develop innovative solutions adapted to the world's needs so we can make society a safer place to live from efficiently finding missing people to facilitating communications in critical scenarios.
At CENTUM research & technology, we are a team of specialized engineers with more than 10 years of experience in fields like digital signal processing, mobile communications, and software defined radio.
About the role: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated FPGA Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our aeronautical projects. As a FPGA Engineer, you will participate in the design, specification, and development of firmware for the RF hardware for current and future products of the company and of different R+D+i projects in which the company is involved. In particular, you will collaborate with our RF and SW engineers to implement a new radio.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize RTL code using VHDL/Verilog for RFSoC platforms. Perform simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing analysis. Work closely with hardware and software teams to integrate FPGA designs with other system components. Troubleshoot and debug FPGA-related issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest RFSoC technologies and industry trends. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in RFSoC design and development (Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC or similar platforms). Proficiency in hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog). Strong understanding of digital and RF design principles. Experience with FPGA development tool Vivado. Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller interfacing. Knowledge of signal processing, high-speed design, and communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, DDR). Understanding of RF signal chain and mixed-signal design. Soft Skills: Methodical and organized person. Used to work in a dynamic and flexible environment. Autonomy and responsibility. Ability to take on new challenges. Other Skills: Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Advanced English level: It is the day-by-day language for engaging international partners.
