The ChallengeWorking in the financial department, the FP&A Analyst will participate in the financial planning and reporting of Wallapop.
Will play a key role in understanding and analyzing core business and financial metrics, optimizing, and creating new reports that add value to the business.
What You Will DoMonthly closing:Participate in the month-end closing, ensuring the P&L (profit and loss) represent the real situation of the business, by reviewing expenses accruals and deferred expenses.Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of P&L, Balance sheet, and headcount.Monitor performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.Build and manage dashboards and metrics to identify key trends risks and opportunities.
Develop, maintain, and consolidate management information including financials and other relevant KPIs.Forecasting and budgeting:Provide analysis and insights to ensure continuous progress towards achieving financial and performance management metrics.Reporting:Prepare and/or coordinate management reporting, including but not limited to financial variance analysis, operational statistics, and other financial reports.Prepares ad-hoc reports and other analyses per request of different business areas such as revenue, international, and other company teams.Support internal stakeholders:Give support to our internal stakeholders in providing on-time accurate information, as well as different explanations (ie.
business, assumptions, etc).What We're Looking ForDemonstrated experience in a similar role.Previous experience in process improvement & implementation (create control processes, and improvements in the finance area).Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.Knowledge of NetSuite and/or planning and forecasting tools is a plus (Netsuite or other budgeting tools).Analytical skills and modeling skills to identify business drivers and summarize business insights.Proactive and flexible.Advanced level of English and Spanish is a must (will participate in a lot of meetings with the CEO and leadership team).Good communication and cooperation skills in international environments.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Do note that all our jobs are Barcelona based.
We work in a mostly remote capacity offering great flexibility to our employees, but we believe in the power of getting together regularly in our office.
As a first iteration, we expect a 4+ day/month office attendance for which the specifics are decided on a team level.
