Position summary: Active role on EMEA's Operations and Maintenance (O&M) segment for short and long-term budgeting, variance analysis and results' interpretation.
Role will assist in KPI reporting, scenario analysis and preparing reports for the Executive Team.
Role is critical in identifying risk areas and additional value generation opportunities through data driven insights.
Financial & Organizational Scope: Involved in multiple aspects of financial planning and analysis Works across the company and different geographies Reporting Relationships & Interactions: Reports to the Manager of FP&A Works closely with the Accounting, Business Development and Commercial Teams Responsibilities: Forecasting, analysis, and maintenance of budgets and business plans for the 4 geographies within EMEA.
Partner with key business unit leaders to help inform strategic planning via detailed understanding of all key parts of the development business and operation expenditures ("OPEX").
Interpret and present financial results to senior management in each one of the covered geographies.
Manage the development, preparation, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports.
Make recommendations to Executive Team regarding potential improvements to company performance.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and related opportunities and risks – and offer ideas for improvement.
Consult with business units to identify financial reporting needs and develop ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
Support the continued development of the Company's financial planning system.
Take an active role on the implementation of the company's ERP system Knowledge and skills: Demonstrated interest in a career in finance, energy, or asset development Strong grasp of the three financial statements, with a high aptitude and enthusiasm for problem-solving through quantitative modeling and analysis Solid understanding of economic and accounting concepts Strong quantitative aptitude with an extremely high level of attention to detail Time management and ability to work under strict deadlines and multiple projects concurrently Abilities: Strong quantitative aptitude, with a high level of attention to detail; ability to summarize complex issues and opportunities into succinct and actionable deliverables Meticulous, with a keen sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work product Highly driven and hardworking, with exacting standards for themselves and others Comfortable in communication across different teams and hierarchical levels Resourceful and comfortable working in a transaction-based environment where requests and deadlines are dictated by deal flow Experience and education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred Strong accounting expertise Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (namely Excel and PowerPoint) Availability to travel on a regular basis Minimum 1-3 years of finance experience Experience with ERP tools, namely SAP (desirable) Experience in renewable energy and/or energy development (desirable)
