Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and strategic Forward Management Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and quality of potential and actual transportation forwarders.
You will evaluate service levels, optimize relationships, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
A key part of this role involves analyzing performance data, ensuring compliance with company standards, and identifying areas for operational efficiency.
You will also be tasked with developing strategic partnerships, addressing any performance deviations, and driving continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
Responsibilities: Provide second-level support for quality and performance management using quality potential analysis and risk assessment for potential forwarders.
Conduct preventive and reactive audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Lead regular performance reviews with forwarders, including audit planning and execution to ensure continuous improvement.
Develop forwarders with high cost-saving potential (best-cost suppliers) to optimize logistics efficiency.
Manage the ramp-up of new forwarders in collaboration with logistics centers and suppliers, ensuring smooth integration.
Handle escalation management between logistics centers, purchasing departments, and forwarders to resolve issues and enhance supplier performance.
Lead frequent performance reviews and participate in on-site meetings with forwarders, involving relevant stakeholders (Logistics Centers, Purchasing, OGI Planning).
Define action plans for forwarder development and performance improvement, ensuring consistent follow-up and monitoring.
Apply strong organizational skills to coordinate activities across different stakeholders and ensure timely execution of improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in transportation, purchasing, auditing, or logistics planning.
Proficiency in business English (written and spoken).
Experience in forwarder or supplier management, with a focus on performance improvement.
Strong team player with excellent organizational and execution skills.
Exceptional communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Willingness to travel for business purposes.
Valuable skills and experience: Knowledge of corporate business processes, preferably within the automotive industry.
Relevant experience as a Logistics Project Lead, Project Manager, Purchaser, or Consultant in high-demand environments.
Expertise in developing new methods, action plans, and standard processes across diverse teams and cultures.
Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to navigate and resolve disputes effectively.
