They are responsible for the safe operations of our Formulations equipment, process and Tank Farm performing all responsibilities vital to make solutions, operate, adjust, and maintain equipment. Investigate alternative methods and procedures to reduce variability and improve equipment reliability. Abide by manufacturing guidelines, policies, and operations run rules. Maintains compliance in safety, quality, and production. Complete all performance and development activities.Key Responsibilities:Advanced level position qualified on all Formulations areas.Assumes responsibility for performance of Formulations to meet safety, quality, and production targets.Performs root cause analysis on equipment not meeting production targets and provides mentorship on how to improve equipment performance.Coordinates and provides equipment management coaching and technical skill development for team.Develop and present training material based on business needs.Coordinates safety, quality and production escalations as needed.Attend meetings as needed to report production escalations or results.Provide support for cross-functional teams to develop equipment and/or process improvements to improve efficiency, product yield, and equipment reliability.Acts as an advocate for continuous process and technology improvement while working closely with function group teams when troubleshooting the equipment and processes. Works with Formulations Supervisors to manage shift production needs. May cover the role of a technician and needs to meet their requirements.Qualifications Required Skills:A minimum of six (6) years of relevant technical/vocational shown experience required.Ability to prioritize projects, tasks and handle multiple tasks.Advanced understanding and problem-solving skills in the following areas: Monomer Prep Production, Solvent & Water systems, Process Safety Management.Shift lead experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficient interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required.Physical demands of the position include stooping, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 23 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, and crawling.Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 6pm to 6am or 6am to 6pm, including weekends, regularly and OT required.Preferred Skills:A college degree, trade program, or military training in a technical field or at least (8) years of equivalent industrial experience highly preferred.Proven understanding and skills in the following areas preferred: safety devices, equipment installation, debug and qualification, control circuitry development, electro-mechanical solving/repair, equipment process development and mechanical devices, controller, mechanical part's design, tooling experience, electrical & mechanical prints.Operations management experience with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.Mechanical and electrical experience in equipment development, project management, construction, installation, and qualification.Phenomenal understanding of the terms, purpose, and principles associated with Lean Six Sigma.Proficient with utilizing and applying the principles in reducing process variations.Other:The anticipated travel for this position is 10%.
