Learn more about Griffith Foods on www.Griffithfoods.Com.Purpose of the positionThe purpose of the role is to promote a food safety and quality culture in the business manufacturing sites and deputize in all aspects of Quality in the absence of the Site Quality Manager.ResponsibilitiesDeputizing on all Quality (including Quality Control/Quality Systems and Food Safety) issues for Site Quality Manager.Promotion of Food Safety and Quality culture throughout the business.Working closely with other departments in a fast-moving environment to ensure that business goals are met.Development, implementation, and management of the monitoring effectiveness of all hygiene systems.Support the Site Quality Manager in customer and third-party audits including interpretation and implementation of required standards.Advising customers, suppliers, and other departments on all aspects of the Quality and Food Safety systems.Implementation of the HACCP system and training of all staff in HACCP, Food Safety, and Quality System requirements.Completing from receipt to completion both Supplier and Customer complaints – including root cause analysis and use of GPE techniques whilst ensuring that the root cause is a practical and workable solution and falls within the requirements of customer/third-party and ISO standards.Supporting all departments in the investigation, root cause, and corrective actions of both internal rejects and non-conformances.In the absence of the Site Quality Manager, collate monthly Quality KPI's for own manufacturing site within region and aid with the preparation of the Quality management review.Support the annual contaminants program and prepare reports in conjunction with other members of the European Quality team.Work with and support Product Info and Regulatory departments on Quality & Food Safety issues.Work strategically with other members of the European Quality team.Working with the GPE teams from a Quality Perspective.Support and advise maintenance and engineering on all related Quality and Food Safety requirements.Close involvement in the day-to-day operations of the Food Safety team.RequirementsStrong technical/quality background. Accomplished auditor, trained trainer, eye for detail, negotiation skills, excellent interpersonal skills, passion for quality.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar job in the food industry.Proven abilities in achieving results by leadership and building relationships.Experience in food customer standards would be an advantage
