Job Title: Project Engineer - Floating Offshore Wind Platforms We are looking for a Project Engineer with strong technical experience in the structural design of Floating Offshore Wind Platforms to support our projects worldwide. As a Project Engineer, you will participate in coordinating and delivering engineering services for offshore wind projects, which requires a comprehensive view of the offshore wind sector and multitasking and flexibility skills to pivot the participation in these services.
The candidate will actively participate in developing the structural design of HiveWind floating substructure for several locations and WTGs. It requires previous knowledge of structural design, advanced analysis methods, and project cycles from conceptual to construction phases.
Key Accountabilities: Perform and check all engineering activities and documentation for Floating Offshore Wind Platforms (FOWP), such as structural analyses, calculations, design, verification, or study activities for a project. Select and design the best technical solutions relevant to Floating Offshore Wind Platforms (FOWP), and structural hull type, and contribute to defining the most suitable structural configuration. Design structural systems and components, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimization in terms of costs, fabrication simplicity, constructability, and safety. Supervise preparation and approve steel structure design drawings and prepare, when required, specifications for structural steel purchasing and fabrication and all related items such as bearing systems, bolts, cladding, grating, etc. Coordinate design activities ensuring technical support during both bidding and execution phases. Carry out/Check/Supervise structural analyses. Verify structural strength or dynamic behaviour of items designed by others (piping support Specialists, Vendors, technical building Suppliers, etc.).
