Flight Physics Technology Projects Manager | (Xql125)

Detalles de la oferta

The Flight Physics Centre of Competence (CoC) is a German-Spanish engineering organisation in Airbus Defence and Space - Aircraft and Systems.
The organisation is responsible for the flight physics deliverables for all Airbus Military Aircraft programmes.
The deliveries to programmes are planned and driven by the Integration Managers of the CoC, who are also the Flight Physics interfaces to the Chief Engineering and program organisations.
In this role, the job holder will lead several technology projects within Flight Physics.
A non-exhaustive list of projects includes Clean Sky 2, Clean Aviation, and other national projects such as the recently granted Galicia project.

Main technologies to be developed in these projects are described in the Flight Physics Technology and Digital strategies.
The role will include the following main activities for the designated projects:
As project manager, the job holder is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling all Galicia project deliveries in order to deliver them on time, cost, and quality.
This is to be done on top of contributing to achieve the project top-level objectives by managing the Flight Physics team and interfacing with other stakeholders.
The management of suppliers and other project resources in the extended enterprise will also need to be done in this role.As technical leader of the overall aircraft design activities, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring overall integration and optimization at the flight physics level of key technologies and disciplines.
In this role, the job holder will have to define, run, and coordinate trade-offs and multi-disciplinary optimization loops while setting up the right processes, methods, and tools to do it effectively with the available resources. It will be important to interact and coordinate effectively between the different flight physics disciplines and other stakeholders and CoCs.
On top of these two main tasks, and to round up the profile, the job holder should also create synergies between domains and CoCs as part of the strategy and integration team.
This should contribute to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness of Flight Physics CoC by integrating processes, methods, tools, and technologies to enable a global increase in added value to our customers, reduction of lead times, and non-recurring costs.
In this Flight Physics transverse role, the job holder will need to focus especially on the automation and digitalization of flight physics end-to-end processes.
This would mean focusing on technologies in the projects that contribute to an overall value chain optimization and digital continuity in the CoC.

The position might also include activities involving continuous improvement and task force activities to deal with issues or technological challenges that could appear in the CoC.

Skills and Knowledge: Technical skills: Experience in overall aircraft design and integration.Specific knowledge in Flight Physics disciplines (Aerodynamics, Loads, Aeroelastics, Performance, Mass Properties, Flight Control laws and handling qualities, Acoustics, and Vibrations).Digital affinity and knowledge of tools and data flow within Flight Physics (HPC, cloud computing, process automation, CAE design & simulation tools) to set up end-to-end processes to optimize Galicia UAV solution.Process, methods, and tools continuous improvement and practical problem-solving experience would be a plus.System and value engineering knowledge would be a plus. Project Management skills: Experience on complex national or international technology project management.Agile Project management skills and experience.Agile/scrum way of working to effectively interact within the Galicia integrated project team.Remote team leadership, especially able to manage distributed teams.PMP or Airbus Project Management certification would be a plus.
