TasksWe are looking for a Flight Performance Engineer to join our team. You will be primarily responsible for flight performance of the Destinus vehicles in the design, simulation, analysis, and flight testing phases.
ResponsibilitiesContributing to the development, maintenance, and use of software and tools for flight mechanics (vehicle modelling, trajectory simulations and optimization), evaluating vehicle performance and collaborating with system design teams.Collaborating with the Aerodynamic, GNC and Flight teams on the vehicle flying/handling qualities and on guidance logic, implementation, and pre-flight and post-flight activities.Developing, analyzing and optimizing concepts of operations and abort scenarios, commercial flight planning, trajectory optimization, and flight routing.Collaborating with the marketing and business development teams on joining technical requirements and system capabilities with market needs at flight planning level, optimizing flight trajectories and producing flight routes compatible with technical requirements, system capabilities and market needs.RequirementsDemonstrated expertise in modelling and simulation of hypersonic and/or supersonic vehicles.Experience in trajectory design and optimization of hypersonic and/or supersonic vehicles.Experience in analysis and simulation of nominal and abort scenarios: CONOPS definition, aircraft flight performance, trajectory simulation, post-flight analysis.Knowledge of ATM regulations and standards.Knowledge of flying/handling qualities analysis.Desired SkillsEducated in an Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering degree or a related discipline.Demonstrated expertise programming in MathWorks (Matlab and Simulink) and Python.Strong analytical skills, fast comprehension, and understanding of complex problems with demonstrated capability of working autonomously.Good communication skills, proactive attitude, and problem-solving skills.LanguageKnowledge of the English language is required.Knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus.BenefitsLearning opportunities: Language courses.Lineal organization and flexible working hours.Company events and free lunch with the team once a week.Relocation process package and the possibility to visit different working locations.Competitive salary.Fruits and soft drinks.Local events.Health Benefits.
