Job Purpose
Flight Operations Engineer in charge of support to flight operations computations and studies. Main areas of expertise include aircraft performance, weight and balance, operations technical manuals and specially new route feasibility studies & flight planning support.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
Perform studies on the entire network operated by the company to ensure that any modification affecting airport characteristics, procedures, or navaids, are accurately updated in the documentation loaded into the EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) and the aircraft's navigation database.
Resolve complex engineering problems and contact suppliers. Correct any unforeseen technical events in the flight procedure, constantly verifying with the manufacturer or involved supplier the effectiveness of the correction, and properly monitoring the steps of change management (risk analysis, design defense before Quality and Safety, approval, etc.) to ensure it is perfectly implemented.
Defend internal and external audits with AESA and IOSA for all procedures approved and implemented in the area of competence and flight.
Update the operations manual with new aircraft additions or regulatory changes.
Update the manufacturer's manuals (Airbus) of all LEVEL aircraft.
Complete the MEL with the data provided by Airbus in the MMEL and EASA requirements.
Control and update the company's EFB to ensure smooth operation.
Perform periodic aircraft degradation data studies.
Maintain the Lido flight plan tool.

Aeronautical engineer, master/degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience within a flight operations engineering department at an airline (required).
Previous experience working with Airbus would be an asset.
Previous experience in IOSA/AESA audits will be positively valued.
