The Role Lead commercial and analytical efforts in negotiating and structuring flexible power products .
Evaluate portfolio changes and support both new and existing commercial transactions, with a focus on the development of new business opportunities such as Renewable Energy Sources (RES) participation in Ancillary Services and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) optimization and tollings.
This role involves active client engagement in providing Energy Management services (EMSA) and Market Representation Service Agreements (MRSA) with ENGIE Global Business Units (GBUs) and third parties both in Spain and Portugal.
This position requires a proactive approach to managing both internal and external relationships , with a focus on delivering substantial value in RES Energy Management products.
Key Responsibilities: Be part of the Origination & Structuring team, contributing to key commercial transactions such as PPAs, MRSAs, ancillary services participation and BESS tolling/optimization.
Provide expertise in contract structuring and additional services related to route-to-market and risk management.
Enhance ENGIE's renewable portfolio of Market Representation contracts by renegotiating existing contracts and adding complementary ancillary services and new assets to the MRSA portfolio, in close collaboration with Short Term and RES teams.
Support ENGIE's GBUs on energy market topics, including M&A initiatives in Iberia and services related to Ancillary Services participation and BESS development.
Monitor commodity markets and energy regulation developments to understand their potential impact on positions and revenues, aiming to maximize ENGIE's return/risk ratio.
Advise clients on reducing market risks and securing expected market value.
Propose risk mandates and define management intentions for future hedging actions on Power (PW), Guarantees of Origin (GOs).
Participate in GBU energy committees to strengthen risk reporting/control and contribute to monthly committee preparations.
Education and professional background: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related economic field to provide a strong technical foundation.
Experienced in dealing primarily with internal clients, as well as external clients.
At least 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector We expect you to: Possess strong analytical skills.
Be result-oriented, with a hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple workflows efficiently.
Demonstrate reliability, rigor, curiosity, and attention to detail.
Exhibit strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse range of profiles (e.g., traders, analysts, quants, sales, risk teams, and support functions).
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish High English Travels: Travel occasionally to headquarters or to other countries in order to share experiences or to assist to special events.
