Fixed Assets Officer

Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain a detailed register of all equipment assets including acquisition costs, serial numbers, maintenance records, and locations.Monitor the movement, usage, and condition of all equipment to ensure optimal utilization and prevent loss or misuse.Ensure proper tagging and identification of all equipment.Manage the acquisition process of new equipment, ensuring that all purchases are properly recorded in the fixed assets register.Track the disposal or sale of equipment, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurately recording any gains or losses.Work closely with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure that equipment maintenance schedules are followed.Maintain records of repairs and servicing to ensure proper upkeep of equipment and prevent premature depreciation.Assist in evaluating when equipment should be replaced or upgraded based on condition and performance.Conduct periodic physical audits of equipment to verify the accuracy of records and confirm the condition and location of assets.Investigate discrepancies between the physical count and the fixed assets register and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with internal control policies related to the capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of equipment.Prepare regular reports on the status, utilization, and value of equipment for management review.Develop and implement policies and procedures for managing equipment more effectively.Address any audit queries or findings related to equipment management.Job Type: Full-time
