Firmware Applications Engineer (Wm-749)

Overview : MPS is seeking a highly self-motivated Applications Engineer with good knowledge in embedded firmware for power electronics to join the high-voltage department.
This person will develop firmware to control high-voltage (> 400V) power supply for advanced topologies including inverter, isolated DC-DC Phase shift, and Resonant converter.
Essential Functions : Develop control firmware (Cortex M) for power electronics (DC/DC, AC/DC, DC/AC).
Develop FPGA code for high advanced modulation and processing/filtering to be integrated in our integrated circuits.
Define and execute system integration validation and debugging of power electronics solutions.
Qualifications : BS in Electronic and Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD is preferred.
Good knowledge in power electronics, topologies, control, and modulation.
Good knowledge in analog and digital design.
Experience in control and implementation of DC/DC and AC/DC converter and control theory.
Proficient in structured firmware programming (C/C++, assembly, script languages).
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
Good oral and written skills for communication and documentation.
Self-motivated, strong team player.
