Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida, USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa. PMG provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

As a Fire Inspector, you will support conducting plan reviews, inspections, and field tests on fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with all applicable fire and life safety codes.

ResponsibilitiesConduct fire and safety inspections as required within the project site.Respond to reports of fire hazards, evaluate conditions, identify potential hazards, and recommend appropriate corrective action.Document and maintain complete and accurate records of all inspections and any regulatory actions taken, including preparing written reports and correspondence, and issuing notices to correct code violations.Perform in-house fire inspection/safety procedures training on a need/request basis.Meet client expectations while performing quality inspections.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Inspector.Preferably a certified UL Firestop or open to being certified.Preferably a certificate in EMT 385-1-1.In-depth knowledge of and experience implementing NFPA and UFC requirements.Experience conducting technical inspections on buildings for code compliance.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.Why Planate?Planate Management Group is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
