Summary: This position supports the financial management and operations for Fleet and Family Readiness (N9) programs including Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) and Child and Youth Programs (CYP). The primary purpose of this position is to perform all aspects of financial management for assigned programs by accomplishing a wide variety of assignments concerned with effective management of program resources.Responsibilities:Reconcile detailed listings or reports from System Application and Products (SAP) enterprise automated accounting system and other automated accounting systems of outstanding transactions to control accounts.Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to general ledgers performing account adjustment and researching discrepancies between accounts and cost center.Validate, monitor, control, and maintain accounting transactions and records for multiple general ledger accounts.Review and authorize a variety of documents ensuring compliance with Navy regulations.Research discrepancies between accounts and prepare reports on the status of funds.Perform monthly reconciliation for accounts serviced to assure balance between accounting data and reports.Compile, consolidate, check, and arrange funding data in support of budget analysis and administration.Requirements:Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. A qualified candidate must possess:1-year of financial support experience in a professional work environment.Specialized experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, or financial management functions.Broad knowledge of Department of Defense and Department of the Navy financial regulations.Knowledge of accounting methods, procedures, and techniques for analysis and determinations within a complete accounting system.Knowledge of SAP enterprise accounting system and financial reports.Familiarity with accounting software, with Food Trak, Rec Trak, and Qubica preferred.Education: This position does not have a positive education requirement.Additional Information: Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
